After 2 years of development, evolution, progress, burnouts (and school) I have finally finished the album. It is titled What's a Tapestoppa and it releases Friday. Here's the cover!

Guess what? All 10 tracks are finished! A lot earlier than I expected too. However, I don't want to just settle for 10, I want to do a couple of bonus tracks to have in there. After that I'll have to make an album cover. Busy period but I want to get this done before my birthday in october! Be prepared :)

Away with 2024. Now to 2025!!!

While I hadn't made any "official" releases this year, I was a part of some big projects like the Clouds Divide project with @Troisnyx, @Adr3-n and many others. In 2025 I plan on making my debut album. 5/10 are done already.

"But Tape, didn't you already make a debut album in 2022?"

I personally wouldn't consider it a debut but just a compilation of things I did in 2022. It was also rushed weirdly enough. Besides, who even remembers that one?

I of course plan of continuing drawing and all.

What's Next?

Lastly, Im gonna be graduating highschool to continue my music journey through business.

I watched a bit of the new Nintendo Direct and the first thing I saw as M&L. It's been awhile since an announcement made me hop out my seat with excitement.

Hello all. As you know from before I recently got a new computer. Wonderful. But bad news, it's been over 3 months since ive used fl studio or made music at all, and I pretty much forgot almost everything I knew how to do from before like using the daw, sound designing structuring etc. This situation has been killing off my motivation in the process as well. Therefore, picking things back up is going to be a major challenge. Pardon the future delays.

If you hadn't noticed I hadnt made any music in the past few months because my laptop has been out in the repair store. The funny part is, the old thing was pretty much so outdated and broken in many parts (cheap material) that it had to be replaced and I now have a heftier and more efficient laptop that can run fl without it burning!

What's the holdup? Hadn't heard music from you in a minute.

In the recent times within the past months of June and late May, I stepped down from music production temporarily, since it's been draining me both mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. I caught myself staying up really late missing sleep from spinning my wheels and stuff. I don't know when I'm going to pick it back up, hopefully once my motivation and ideas come back again I can churn out some stuff

The Comeback to Art

If it's one thing that I can't stand for is unproductivity, so I couldn't just sit around and do absolutely nothing, hell no! For a few days, I thought of things I should do regarding creativity. Then one day, I found an empty sketchbook lying under my bed, collecting dust and a few pencils (coincidence right?). I'm not gonna leave my friend out on this as i owe him major props for teaching me and looking at my progress the past few weeks, Thanks bro! :)

Before, 3 years ago, 2020, I used to draw and stuff but didn't actually have a direction except to make those cool digital art pictures and stuff, that alone was very shallow, looking back at it today, so I ended up quitting it that time, as the drawings themselves weren't that good to begin with. Fast forward a few months ago, something told me I had some unfinished business and I should pick art back up again and that's what I'm doing, the past few weeks I've been practicing and I've already hit a level to where I feel like posting stuff in that category now.

My Process

So, I wanted to do digital art then, but here's the problem: I didn't and still don't have one of those fancy tablets those professional artists use! I didn't even know any other good softwares for art until I found one now. I only have a mouse and laptop so i had to make do with that, and you already know how hard it is to draw with a mouse alone, major props to those who do that without anything else. I found a relatively new printer lying around the house that no one has used in a hot minute so I took that and used that as a part of my big plan.

Looking at the older animations from the 1900s such as Mickey, Bamby, Astroboy, etc, I took the idea from the process, of drawing whatever it is first on paper, then redrawing it digitally. I realized that the printer I snagged had a scan feature and I already knew I was better at drawing on paper because I have better hand eye coordination with that than with a computer. I first draw what I'm drawing on paper, Scan it with the printer, then redraw it using the mouse, while fixing some errors in it in the process of digitalizing. My english teacher was right, when you do things on paper first, then put it in the computer, you can catch much more errors, and didn't even realize it applies with art in my situation!

I'm opening everything from the span of late last year and this year as free downloads. Everything is already in a 320 bitrate Including Greetz and a few other remixes and tracks for the best quality!

As disorganized as I am usually, for i meant to post this in january now it being 3 months later, it seems that the first half of this year will be full of remixes and collaborations! So look out for those, and once I'm done I'll have a few up for download :)
